Random thoughts

Chinese New Year is coming. Yes, the supposedly most important event of the year for all Chinese in the world. Everyone's soaking in the joyful atmosphere and you can see families with big bags of goodies and every other thing emerging from the shopping malls. The little children are all bursting with excitment and the older generations are all looking forward to it. Yet why have I more than once see it in the eyes of people of our generation that they don't think its such a big deal and sometimes even I feel that same way.

Where in the world did the little children that are filled with yearning for this festive occassion that re once in us go. Haven't we all went through the phase whereby the Chinese New Year is the ultimate event of the year for us and we have been yearning for it long before it reaches us. Why is that we are now frowning upon all the excitment and dismissing it as just another occassion and just a longer holiday for all? Is it thatthe environment that we grew up in has gradually changed us or is it that we are just going through a phase whereby we just want to feel 'cool' and so we are all hiding our heartfelt emotions or have that ability to rejoice been long lost. Maybe its just me thinking too mucha and maybe ithere are many of our generation out there that are looking forward to Chinese New Year.

Anyway, enough of all this talk. Chinese New Year is just in like 2 days' time amd i still think its the time where everyone will rejoice and soak in that moment of excitment at least even if we don't look forward to it. So well people, lets just all keep the big bags of goodies and the overflowing excitment coming in. Have fun!
